Octopath Traveler เป็นโปรเจคเกม RPG ใหม่ที่ทาง Square Enix ป้อนให้กับเครื่อง Nintendo Switch ซึ่งเป็นเกมแนว JRPG แบบคลาสสิคดั้งเดิม ที่ใช้ระบบการเล่นแบบ Turn Base และกราฟิกในแบบ 2D และสาเหตุที่เกมเป็นแนวนี้ก็เพราะมันเป็นผลงานของคุณ Tomoya Asano โปรดิวเซอร์จากเกมซีรี่ส์ Bravely นั่นเอง โดยทั้งนี้ตอนที่ทาง Square Enix ประกาศเกมนี้ให้กับเครื่อง NS ก็ได้บอกเช่นกันว่าพัฒนาโดยทีมเดียวกับ Bravely ด้วย แต่ไม่ได้แจ้งว่านำโดย Tomoya Asano

จนกระทั่งมาวันนี้ทาง Sqaure Enix ได้ทำการเปิดเพจของทีมงานในเฟสบุ๊คที่ https://www.facebook.com/sqexasanoteam/ จึงได้ทราบว่าคุณ Tomoya Asano เป็นคนนำทีมสร้างเกมนี้ นอกจากนี้เขายังเป็นโปรดิวเซอร์ที่ทำเกมอื่นๆในแนวแบบ RPG คลาสสิคทั้งนั้นด้วย ไม่ว่าจะเป็น Bravely Default: Flying Fairy, Bravely Default: Praying Brage, Bravely Second: End Layer, Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light, Final Fantasy III (3DS) และ Final Fantasy IV (3DS) นอกนี้ก็ยังเป็น Project Manager ให้เกม Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions ด้วย

It's my pleasure to finally announce our newest project, the fully original role-playing game Octopath Traveler!

While we can't reveal any specific details quite yet (keep an eye out for promotional media in the near future), we'd like to share with you a behind-the-scenes look at the development process in the meantime.

A long road lies ahead of us, but we hope that you'll come along for the journey!
